Suzanne
Groomer since 1970
Certified groomer

Suzanne has been a groomer since 1970... yes that is over 40 years!!! She opened Bark Avenue in March 2001. Her Aunt Tama enlisted her to bathe dogs at her Pet Shop on 78th and Dodge when she was only 13 years old. It wasn't long before she was learning the art of grooming, and it turned into a life long passion.

Her passion for the art of grooming and a desire to help dog parents and families with all aspects of their canine family member life... from grooming to health, training to overall well-being. She is certified in terriers, sporting, and non-sporting groups, according to the standards of the IPG (International Professional Groomers Association) and plans to take her Masters certification soon. Her tenure in salon ownership has given her great pride as well as recognition from many of the leaders of the pet industry in the United States. She has been married to her husband Kevin since 1984. She is most proud of her children, Ashley (mom to grandaughter, Layla Grace) and son, Clint (resides in Scottsdale,AZ) married to Meghan.


Debbie
Groomer since 1995
Certified groomer

Debbie has been groomer since 1995. She is IPG certified in sporting dogs, non-sporting dogs and terriers. She is currently owned by two dogs, two children, and one husband.


Percia
Groomer since 1989

Percia is an Omaha native. She graduated from Central High School, attended OOIC business courses at UNO for 2 1/2 years, and also completed Micro-business classes through Nebraska Urban League. She spent seven years as a certified nurse's assistant, five of those years at Bergen Mercy CC.

Percia has been a professional pet groomer since 1989, and is the proud mom of four pets. "I have a fun loving lab mix with a big heart that keeps me busy. I also have three adorable cats that are very affectionate and much energized." Percia specializes in feline grooming and styling. "I enjoy my profession and work place in which I take great pride. I enjoy quality time with my family and pets, and also meeting new people and caring for pets."


Amanda
5 years grooming experience

Amanda is a Bellevue native. She attended Paragon School of Pet Grooming in 2001. She has been grooming for 5 years and was invited to become a member of our staff over 2 years ago. She prides herself on her ability to truly be an "all breed" groomer and has proven her scissoring skills.


Katie
Groomer since 2008

Katie has been a groomer since 2008. She joined Bark Avenue in 2010. She specializes in terriers and mix breeds. Her love for the terriers prompted her to join the Wag N Train Terrier Rescue. She is their Vice-President. You will find her most weekends helping the rescue at various events and locations to find forever homes for the rescue terriers they are fostering. She is mom to two terriers, Pete and Darby (can you tell she's Irish) and foster mom for the rescue. She is a trained EARS (Emergancy Animal Response Service) volunteer with United Animal Nations. She has her BS in Forensic Science from Iowa Western.



Crystal
Groomer since 2005

Crystal has been a professional groomer since 2005. She specializes in hand-scissoring. She has a great eye for styling, especially Standard Poodles and Pomeranians. She has her own forever friend in Bonnie, her puppy pekingese. She takes great pride in her grooming career and often mentions she, "wouldn't know where she would be in life, if not for her four-legged friends. They are truly the best friend anyone could have!" We are glad she has joined our staff here.
